Question: How can I import spreadsheet data?
*Excel spreadsheets must be in .xls format
*Excel spreadsheet must have Herd ID entered in a column
Answer:
Access the “Import” option
On the “Select Spreadsheet Tab”
Double click on “Spreadsheet Filename” field
Select the spreadsheet file that has the data you want to import into CHAPS
Click on “Load Sheets”
Click on “Select Sheetname” downward arrow
Select Sheet # (Sheet1; Sheet2; Sheet3)
Click on “Load Columns”

On the “Column Setup” Tab
Click on the downward arrow for the data you want to import, i.e. Calf ID, EID, Weaning Weight, etc.
Select the column heading from the spreadsheet you imported
When you have selected the data you want to import click on “Load”

Click on the “Data Preview” Tab
Review the data you have selected
Click on “Import”
When the data has been imported you may close out of the Import Option
Access the Calf ID and select one of the calves that had data that you wanted to Import and make sure your data has imported.
