CHAPS 2000 is a data intensive program that requires a strong record keeping system. CHAPS 2000 works to help you analyze performance data and managerial decisions. The first step in the process means each animal in your herd--bulls, cows and calves--must be identified through some means of eartags or freeze-branding, etc. The minimum records you should keep include calf sex, birth date and individual weaning weight. You also need an estimate of cow age and group sire information.

The CHAPS 2000 forms are designed to help you collect the information necessary in order to optimize the benefits of the program. If you have this information in a calving book or some type of record keeping system, you can start as soon as you complete the registration process available elsewhere in this web site.

The suggested order to download the input forms is the order in which they are listed. Read the input information on each form, download the forms and then begin transferring your data to the input forms. It is suggested you fill out the forms even if you are a single licensee or multiple site licensee.

Specific guidelines are available for each form.  You will have to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to view and print them. The Adobe Acrobat Reader software is free and can be downloaded from the following link.
